The weekend, time to remove stress?

It's Friday and that used to be enough for most be people to relax, unwind and lose stress. Today, especially if you have kids the weekend ramps up to be even more hectic and fast paced than the week. There are sports, birthday parties, shopping, driving to friends, waiting for them to get ready and so much more not to mention yard work and cleaning the house...whew!
In a simpler time the Man would come home and the wife would hand him a cold one when he walked through the door followed by the kids handing over the remote and then he could watch the game or just a mindless comedy or action movie. Even farther back in time the five o'clock whistle could generate enough excitement to yell "Yabba Dabba Do". The working Woman would on the other hand would expect that the husband would be attentive to her needs have a bath drawn and then take the kids away for hours. Well it's not quite that easy any more. (perhaps it never really was)

Diabetes affects many families.

Our family has seen the slow and painful effects of Diabetes for over 30 years, first with my Mom and now Sonia's. It might come as a shock to you and the family when you find out someone has Diabetes but the progression of symptoms and lifestyle choices were building up for years.
