Vitamin D: An essential nutrient

When vitamins were first discovered in the early 20th century, Vitamin D was found to help cure the childhood bone disease Rickets. Today there is a Vitamin D deficiency in children once again and Rickets is making a comeback.
Vitamin D is not just for kids anymore. Last week at the USANA International Convention, Dr. Myron Wentz said that Sunshine and Vitamin D are as essential to health as oxygen. He listed several chronic diseases that the risk can be reduced with Sunshine and supplementing with Vitamin D.
