Fibromyalgia risk and sleep disorders in Women

Over 90% of the 5 million adults that suffer from Fibromyalgia are Women.  A new study shows that Women with sleeping disorders are at a higher risk for developing Fibromyalgia. The chronic pain that is associated with this disease is often misunderstood and sometimes misdiagnosed.
Fibromyalgia is a chronic musculoskeletal condition that affects approximately 5 million adults, 90 percent of which are women. It is characterized by an achy pain, especially when pressure is applied to tender spots on the body.
